MATTHEW
MEADE
ABOUT

Matthew is a Brooklyn-based performer with a love for classic musical theater and the art of storytelling. Inspired by legends like Dick Van Dyke and Gene Kelly, he’s an old-school song-and-dance man at heart. This past summer, he had the honor of performing Hello, Dolly! in Central Park’s Naumburg Bandshell, sharing the stage with TV star Brian Stepanek in The Producers at the historic Renaissance Theater, and will be working alongside Jeff Richmond—writer, composer, and husband of Tina Fey—on Fiddler on the Roof, his all-time favorite show.
Beyond the stage, Matthew is a passionate advocate for self-love, queer rights, and the occasional political upheaval—like that time in 2022 when he somehow ignited a Congressional campaign. (Long story. Ask him about it.) He believes in using his voice, whether in front of thousands or around the dinner table at one of his monthly gatherings.
Offstage, he’s an enthusiastic home cook, hosting dinner parties with his fiancé, Jason, and perfecting recipes for their future restaurant. He has an unabashed love for reality TV, a deep appreciation for a well-drawn bath, and a lifelong devotion to The Parent Trap (the Lindsay Lohan version, of course). At home, he’s kept in check by his scruffy dog, Buster, and his fiercely independent cat, Molly.
